Silkie thread!

Here's my first ever Silkie. Sad that the 5th one is gone now. Not a good way to start this new hobby of mine. Here are some pictures of them as of today and the chicken coop I built for them.

I finally got porcelain chicks. they are beautiful. I have some a little older but these are my recent ones. They where 2 days late but every egg hatched that I put in the incubator. Unfortunately the hens are broody now so I can't sell any eggs but here they are. There are 2 that look buff and the other 3 appear extremely light lavender. The others I have are the same color. There are 2 silver sebright chicks in these pics.

I know right? I can't stop looking at them. These where all 2 days late and I had given up on them and had put duck eggs in the hatcher with them. Humidity was up to 70% and they started hatching. Then started getting stuck in the shells. I helped every one onf them out. I just lost 1 sebright and I got to it too late. Crazy thing is the ducks haven't hatched. They're 2 days late as of today. I've had a hard time getting chicks to hatch this year but our weather has been strange. This was the best hatch I've had since Feb when I started for this year. I set 9 eggs, all where fertile and all hatched but 1 and 1 died. All assisted "births".

I'm so proud of these babies. I'll have to get pics of the older porcelains. I"m hoping they all feather out to be porcelains. If the 2 that are looking buff are girls I'll still use them in my porcelain pen. This is my roo. I got him from Bobbi Porto. He's won 1st in BV in every show I put him in.

Im Back in!! I got my Babies! Bobbi Porto sent me 7 adorable chicks. I am so excited! I have all different colors. Here is my Beautiful Buff. I will post photos of the others in a few.

How precious!! I have 1 black Silkie, & 1 white one. I'm dying for a mix of colors!

Adorable! I also have 24 of Sheri Minkner's Frizzled Sizzle eggs in the bator right now. 21 days will be July 15th. NO CLUE WHAT THE HECK IM DOING! Makes me a nervous wreck!

I am ordering a dozen of her eggs as soon as it cools down. I have NO luck with shipped eggs, so I am TERRIFIED! I've incubated 36 shipped eggs total, & hatched ONE chick!! And it died at 3 days!

I have never incubated. So this is all new to me. I have been a nervous wreck over it and it hasn't been a week in the bator even! Im trying to just relax and hope for the best. Our heat and humidity is such a tough one though. It is high 80's during the day with a humidity of 96%... I love CT summers... ugh!

Still no email from ideal. I should be getting the chicks tomorrow based on when the order said it would ship when I placed it. I guess if they dont come I should send an email.

Did anyone here order from ideal and never get an email letting you know they shiped?

That's strange I would call them to see if something is up. You should have gotten an email
