Silkie thread!

I think I have 2 roos. I'm hoping not more (I only have four birds). There seem to be two that are fighting eachother and also seem to have some of the roosterish features. One has kind of a crazy feathery crest, and pointier, feathery tail. The other has a much bigger comb than the others. How long should I wait to be sure? If they are fighting is it pretty much a for sure that those two are Roos? They are about 6 months old, so no one is laying or crowing yet. I don't want them to hurt eachother while I wait to see for sure if they are boys.

I'm having the same issue. Can you post pictures? I'm new to Silkies and still learning, so maybe we can compare pics of our suspected roos. What boyish features are you seeing?

Got our first Silkie egg-so cute!!

Isn't it amazing how large Silkie eggs are?! Our first Silkie egg was 1.25 oz and have consistently been 1.25 oz. Once our littlest Silkie gave us a 1.5 oz !!! Our Breda's first egg was only 1.25 oz -- granted she is a small dainty LF but still heavier/bigger than a Silkie. The Breda is finally laying 1.5 oz eggs and has been a very gentle breed to have around our Silkies and Ameraucana.
