Silkie thread!

What color is this? Not buff for sure. Male has black in his tail and female too.

Red partridge.
If there are black feathers in the crown and osprey/wing tips it is referred to as partridge.

No black feathers in crow and in wings. Only in tails there is black leakage on both if them

So I will be getting a New Silkie some time this week! Either tommorow or Saturday (Hopefully Tommorow!)

What color should I get? I have a white bantam already, her name is Yukon, but i HATE how she gets so dirty all the time! It drives me bonkers! (I still love that vicious little cotton ball to death though <3)

I live in Arizona, so Im staying away from getting a Black silkie, as their color absorbs more heat during the day, and I dont want them to overheat and ....die. That would be bad for my healing heart. (Still pretty torn up about giving my rooster away .......)


Im thinking Buff, Red, or Blue.

oh....so My Buff Bantam Rooster was actually a Red Partridge Bantam Rrooster ^-^
