Silkie thread!

Now what the heck color is that calico-y thing in the middle?!

... I want one...

If you're talking about the picture with the two hens (black in the back), the one in front is Ellie. She's splash, and she's always dirty too :p If I give those two splash girls a bath, they're the prettiest white and blue. But, as soon as I put them back in the run, they get all dirty again. It also doesn't help that we have a lot of red clay around here :/

Too me the one circled in the orange looks like she fell (I know she's prob just scratchen at the ground)
But, beautiful silkies! @ howfunkyisurchicken

That one in the back was in the process of taking a dust bath. It kept laying down and then getting back up to scratch/rearrange the dirt in the hole it had made while I was taking pictures. If you look closely, theres another chick back there dust bathing too :D

Aw! And here I had my hopes up it was a real color. Silly dirty chickens.

Hmm... we have red clay around here too. Maybe I should get myself a couple Splash ladies!

What colour are the parents ? Partridge usually have the chipmunk stripes, and I don't see any here.

It comes from a line of buffs, but the lady said there is a partridge somewhere back a couple generations. She breeds and shows in Texas. I got a few more from her that are unquestionably nice buff chicks, then this one, and one that has a dark back, here:
