My guess on the chick color would also be partridge in a fairly red shade or may be an off chance of solid red

Too me the one circled in the orange looks like she fell (I know she's prob just scratchen at the ground)
But, beautiful silkies! @ howfunkyisurchicken
It's OK, unfortunately misinformation is very common in the poultry community. I try to correct it whenever I see it so it doesn't continue to spread. No harm, no foul.
If you're talking about the picture with the two hens (black in the back), the one in front is Ellie. She's splash, and she's always dirty tooIf I give those two splash girls a bath, they're the prettiest white and blue. But, as soon as I put them back in the run, they get all dirty again. It also doesn't help that we have a lot of red clay around here :/
That one in the back was in the process of taking a dust bath. It kept laying down and then getting back up to scratch/rearrange the dirt in the hole it had made while I was taking pictures. If you look closely, theres another chick back there dust bathing too![]()
Does anyone know what color this silkie is? It came from good quality buffs, but I have no clue![]()

What colour are the parents ? Partridge usually have the chipmunk stripes, and I don't see any here.
