Well Guys My hen layed 2 Eggs So Far That Was Fetile And I Was So Happy Well One Did Not Make The Rest Of The Way It Died In Half Of Its Cycle And Right Now I Grabbed The Egg That Had The Chick In It And I Have Not Checked The Egg In a Week So I Took It Out Under The Hen Aand She Peck At Me But Missed Me Aand Hit The Egg The Egg Cracked But Its Not Leaking Or Showing Anything Anf It Havs The Chick In It Inside The Egg It Is Black Inside The Egg But She Cracked It Under The Chick Where Its Egg Yolk Is Can It Kill The Chick Now Sonce She Cracked It Or....This Will Be My Very first Chick I Hatched Since I Got Into Silkies And I Am Kinda Yup Set That It Might Not Happen!!!

It's hard to say if it will hatch or not. You can try taping it or I've heard birthday candle wax can also be used to repair the crack. After that I think it's just a wait and see type of thing..

Yes i just tryed putting One of our birthday candles and melted it and put it on the crack and them duck taped it with clear tape i hope it hatches its already black half way in the egg. I hope the hen does not peck at it and try taking the tape off because i dont have an incubator to back it up if the hen wont lay on it

Wax works well. I accidentally cracked an egg while candling it very early in the incubation process (maybe day 7). I put some candle wax on it, and sure enough it hatched on day 21 into a perfect healthy chick.

I have used fingernail polish to mend cracked eggs.

I think they are beautiful!
I had a SQ Paint silkie hen and both her parents were SQ ribbon winning paint silkies. She was beautiful and so perfect!
