This is my boy. He was sold to me as a splash but the black only appears to be on his wings, tail(can’t be seen in the pictures) and neck. He’s young and the black is growing in more around his neck but I was planning on breeding him into my B/B/S pen. Is he going to create full splashes or splashes with black only in some places? He’s really sweet but I’ve been considering selling him for a better splash rooster.

Anyone raise smooth sizzles? I have 2 grow out from shipped eggs, just curious if they can be sexed earlier than Silkie and what to look for. 7 weeks

The black is a boy. The other looks like a pullet but you never know when the comb will decide to pop out.

I know silkies are difficult to sex but at 14 weeks old with the comb and wattles looking like this, does this fit the bill for a cockerel? Or is it still to soon?

I would say boy but I’m not an expert. His waddles and comb are pretty big looking to me. He/she is sure cute though!
