Just tried again with syringe and nothing. She's not even peeping any more.

I'll keep trying. I have her in a box by my computer, nestled next to a hot-water "bottle", with syringe of vitamin water nearby. As long as I see her moving and breathing, I'll keep trying.

I really hate to lose chicks. Didn't have any trouble with chicks last year, and we were newbies then!

I am so sorry this has happened again with this second batch of chicks MyKids, so sad and so sorry for your loss, I believe I'd try to find someone in your area that has chicks and not order any more from a hatchery. I don't care what anyone says it's got to be extremely hard on them to hatch and be transported through the mail in such a short time..

Thank you. I don't intend to use hatcheries again... not ordering from them, anyway. I have about 30 chicks ordered from a local feed store, so hopefully by the time I pick them up, they will have recovered from the transition from wherever. Future hatches will be from our own chickens, local breeders, or purchased hatching eggs from reputable people.

I'm curious also about the staggered hatch.
What do you do when it gets time to increase the humidity? Does this bother the other eggs? Also do you let them hatch in the incubator then move them?
