Have you asked the doctor if she might be having reflux? If so, there are medications which can help and will reduce the burning she would be feeling which could lead to the fussiness, the colics, etc. Sonoran, my parents used to do the leg thing with me too, even when I was a toddler.
Seriously, though, ask about reflux...

I go into the doctor tomorrow morning. I am going to be flooding her with questions.

It might also be allergies, which I personally have alot of too. I noticed that even switching laundry detergents one time had her all covered in little red bumps. My mom made her this really cute crocheted wool sweater too and that had the same reaction. Maybe an allergic reaction to something else..... All I can think of is that I normally do barn chores about 5-6 pm lately. I take my coat off and wash up but don't always get a shower in before getting her the next bottle. Maybe some sort of dander causes that fussy time too.

Anyone wanna take a guess at his coloring again?LOL I was told he was brindle but when I think of brindle I think of tiger stripes.

I have a "tortoise" roo that I know I need to cull but He's so gorgeous I just can't yet. I've got him in with a few black pullets hoping to get some grey chicks. Then it's down the road for him

The rest of my juveniles though I still am not sure of. I had one pullet pegged around the same age range but the rest I change my mind daily. 4 months I think you have a better shot, 5 months I think it's pretty clear but some of them I've heard will fool you all the way up until they finally grace you with an egg or a crow which will happen right about the time you give up waiting!

DNA testing lately from what I've seen is anywhere from $17 per chick thru about $24.50 per chick either blood (cheapest), feather (either the same price or slightly more) or eggshell (most expensive) if you're desperate

The $17 is a discounted rate for more than 5 tests at a time as a blood sample test thru DDC veterinary.

Since I'm on this topic, DOES ANYONE have any idea how much raising a silkie from hatch to be able to sex them is? I'm been trying to figure it out! Sure would be nice to justify DNA testing on occasion but I'm not able to make the numbers work because I've done a shotty job of gathering them lol

I did it twice with my first hatched at home white silkie and surprise white showgirl with their eggshells and yeah they are both boys bummer! I was hoping for a least one girl! Who wants a white showgirl cockerel?? Come get him!

He should grow up pretty decent BQ at least I'm guessing since the parent stock wasn't too shabby IMO but who knows? LOL

That said, I say brown red because there is no wing triangle (therefore birchen), it is obviously gold or golden and you have lots of hackle and saddle colouring. Any gold on the breast? Brown reds are supposed to have laced breasts.
