Let's assume the 50 are chicks and the silkie is an adult; it will probably work just fine. However, if they are all chicks, the single one who looks significantly different could cause issues--in that case get black silkies who will blend in better, colourwise, or get a number of white silkies--at least 6 or 7. If they are all adults (or started), probably the same. If the rocks are chicks and hte silkie is started (not a chick, but not yet adult), the silkie could be a danger to the rock chicks.
What a passel of fun!!
It is definitely a gamble but over all has paid off for me.Wish I could but I am not exactly looking to spend that much on eggs at the moment...... I know her bloodlines are woth it but to me shipped eggs are to much of a gamble for that price. I seem to be having it either way, either eggs are arriving great and I get a good hatch from them or the PO plays football with my eggs and I get little to none hatch from decent packaging and the same incubator. I am ready to spend "some" $ but not upwards of $100 to loose out if you know what I mean. That and in catdance and other famous breeder's assortment adds they don't usually offer just 2-3 colors. they say it has to be an assortment and you can't request color. At leased that it what I have been reading, and I understand why but I don't really want to hatch and then have to sell unwanted chicks right now. My luck I would get all but the colors I want and then I would be in the exact same place as before. LOL
Thanks though for responding : )
