Aww... so cute!
Way cute chicks! That porcelain chick is very timely for me, given that one of ours just pipped. Popping on here to look at these adorable chicks keeps me from getting too anxious about the progress in the bators! lol
I have some BBS pipping right now. It never gets old!! I keep running to the bator every few minutes. My husband may not get his dinner! Ha!
I did the same thing when my paint eggs were hatching. I kept shining the flashlight into the crack to see if I could see anything but black! Unfortately all three were black! But I also hatched a lavender and it was totally black till it started to fluff. So you never know for sure! The lavender has really short feathers so the skin was showing through!![]()
There is a breeder near me that sells sexed Silkies but they cost $35 to $65 a chick. He DNA test them. He also sells straight run which cost less.
Oh, that's good to know for when our lav hatches! Notice I said when, not if.We also have five more paint eggs to go, if you count the one that's started. The one that hatched is black. Surely ONE of the other five will be white or paint! lol These guys are still on day twenty and most are pipped, so I'm not nervous. Nope, calm as can be. Can't you just feel the calm vibes rolling off me?![]()
