How exciting! Wish I lived closer, but it's a long way from FL. I can't wait until my guys hatch. Only on day three...so long to wait.

I have 11 more days for my eggs from Catdance to pop. I'm giddy with excitement. I also gleaned 6 eggs from the Bantam show yesterday that are not Silkies and I don't know what they are as they were just left in the cages after the owners left. They are smaller than Silky eggs and I have a hen sitting on those. Should be quite interesting

. I may have some cute chicks to sell in the next 21 days.

Well 'she' just crowed, so she is a he. It was a funny little crow too!

Metronidazole. Someone thought they had canker but they didn't. I still used it anyway since I bought it and it seemed to help.

Just picked this guy/girl up this evening. 4 mos old. My first silkie!

They both look feminine.

I have never been good at sexing silkies.The breeder had these two together as a pair.But he also called them gray silkies.Would it be best to breed them to black silkies?

Don't be to disappointed if the eggs from the show cages don't hatch many will keep their show birds separate to keep the feathers in show condition so they may very well be infertile.

LOL I am assuming mine are a pair, but as of yet no crowing and they are also 4 mo!
