Silkie thread!

Are you bringing birds or just spectating this time around?
I'm actually going to get a gander that was imported in for me from Kansas. So I'm just spectating. Not showing this year. Will be showing at the national next year - which will be in Petitcodiac, NB (40 min drive from me - and actually where I lived when I started keeping chickens - funny story - they don't allow chickens in the town they hold nationals in  )

We called her this morning and she gave us step by step of her morning. She even tried to count all the chicks (there are 18 in a pen - and it takes forever to count moving chicks)

I'm sure I'm not the only one that leaves more notes for their chicken keepers than their dog watchers? Lol! I only left one note for the dogs.

I have 3 dogs and 2 cats - and didn't even leave a note about the cats

BTDT :) :) :) Would do it again LOL. I think that people just don't 'know chicken' as much as they know cats and dogs. And chickens are just as awesome as cats and dogs, but people don't think of them that way... So people like us who think of our chickens just the same as our dogs and cats, we're going to go the extra mile to assure that the caregiver is going to treat them the way they should <3

Thanks everyone!
All my chicks are out of Catdance eggs, so thanks to Karen I have this nice little splash boy.

I like the name Fritz. I'll definitely consider that one. And I do like Moe and Larry also but can't have another Moe. The original 2 chicks I ever had were Curly and Mo. Mo turned out to be a hen, so she was just Mo. lol And Larry...I have a friend named Larry. He's a nut. Can't name my nice little splash chick after that one.

Why is naming animals so hard??

He looks like it to me. He has been my favorite all along. i can't wait to see what he looks like in another few weeks. They are going through an akward stage. It was so funny I kept scaring them with the camera flash. They did not appreciate thier photo shoot!
