Newbie here with 2 (to start) questions. I hope to get some silkies and showgirls in the near future, I live in town and our chicken ordenance only allows for one roo. 1. Out of the two breeds/types which would some of you recomend for a rooster. 2. What colors if any can I mix in a breeding pen. example...White roo to splash hen or black hen to blue splash roo?
i have 10 roos lol in the cityYes I totally agree with everyone's comments about getting a silkie roo and either a blue black or splash...as you can mix him with a B/B/S hens and if you have a showgirl hen then you can still get showgirl chicks as well...
And yes, I would have two Roos....always push the limits if you can get away with it...
I have four Roos and I'm not meant to have any....
Yeah I hope so too! He isn't show quality or anything but I think he's gorgeousOh he is just beautiful...I just love Roos...they are always so majestic...hope his ladies love him...
