Silkie thread!

Both the APA and ABA have standards books. They are not he same book. However, each organization's standards books are the same. APA publishes The Standard of Perfection. ABA publishes the Bantam Standard. It comes in hardcopy and paperback editions that have identical content.
Ok this answered my initial question. I know APA and ABA are not the same, I was wondering if the ABA standard was the same as the ABA mini. But anyways thanks

Quote: The APA's book lists the standards for all recognized breeds and varieties of poultry. This includes bantams, large fowl, waterfowl, guineas, pheasants and turkeys. The bantam standard lists the standards for their recognized breeds and varieties of bantam chickens and bantam ducks. So, there is overlap, and the standards committeess work closely together to keep the standard of one organization consistent with that of the other. So, the standard for "blue" will be very similar to possibly identical for both organizations. Likewise the standard for a specific bantam breed will be similar to identical. There are sometimes slight differences, and in the past there have been some fairly large differences, but the committees work hard to find common ground and eliminate the differences

She is so gorgeous! You should pose her like a snowman for Christmas cards. :)

Mr. Fluff. He is my friendly, spoiled boy. I'm hoping to find a hen for him soon.

What's your take on the ammount of smut in his tail?. To me it seems like alot, but I don't know much about buffs.

I have LF Faverolles so I will use both. I am not sure about showing them but am trying to better the breed and have gotten nice breeding stock to start. Not many breeders of Favs around. I love them almost as much as my silkies! But I think I will show silkies more often. Plus they are smaller and easier to pack around.

HOW BEAUTIFUL YOUR PORCELAIN IS.

I HAVE MY FIRST PORCELAIN THAT IS 7 WEEKS OLD AND IT'S GETTING VERY PRETTY. HOW OLD IS YOUR?

Alright, who knew that it is hug a chicken day? Yep, on a site that is fun to go to, some of you may have already been there, on fb. It's the Chicken Chick at egg cartons lady...there is a contest..so, I brought my sweet little Cotton in for a photo shoot. We change our profile picture to one that has ourself hugging a chicken. No problem there! This little Silkie talked to me the whole time. Real soft little clucks. It was like she knew I was talking to her, because when I talked, she clucked right back at me. I love these birds. And to think that I didn't want to hatch any of these because I didn't think they would be a sweet chicken to have around. I had heard that bantams were stinkers. My two come right up to me. They call to me when I drive into the driveway. I have a little partridge now, that I am having to work on getting her to warm up to me, still very young. Pretty cute sizzle..or frizzle...?

COTTON IS SO CUTE AND THE PICTURE OF THE TWO OF YOU IS ADORABLE!
