I have a six month old pullet and one of her toes is bent under the bottom of her foot. It is just like if you folded your thumb down to your palm and tried to walk on it.

Is this a genetic defect, or the result of an accident? The toe looks normal. It is just bent under her foot instead of being outstretched. I believe it would be considered her fourth toe.

I had 2 like that last year. None of the chicks hatched like that. Im guessing they got their toe caught in the brooder wire and broke it and it healed like that.
