Silkie voices.. More like a goose

My silkies cheep when they are little bit but when they get older they don't seem to cluck like my barn chickens...they have more of a goose like sound.
Is this common ?
Why do my silkies have their own language?

Honking comes between cheeping and clucking for most.
That honking cracks me up!
