Silkie with bent toes now looks black and dry! Please help if you’re in Calgary!

She was young but her foot definitely was fused in that position. She gets around perfectly fine. Sometimes trips but runs and Roosts like any other bird.

That is so good to see! We were worried that she wouldn’t be able to roost but with the progress we did make with the shoes she seems to be able to perch just fine now! And also very relieved to know that she will more than likely lose the toe naturally and will adapt to it afterwards.
