Silkie with chronically messy behind.

I am just wondering what might be causing my 1 yr old white silkie to have a poopy behind all the time. I watch her go poo, and although sometimes it is very runny (brown in color), it is not that way all the time. Probably 1/3 of her poos are abnormally runny. The rest are perfectly normal. She has been wormed (6 mo. ago with Fenbendazole goat wormer liquid, twice this month with Eprinex topically) She acts totally healthy and normal, lays eggs to beat the band. Crop empties and fills normally. I have trimmed the feathers so that she can go freely and not get bound up, but it just stays kind of messy back there, sometimes worse than others. The other silkie girl she lives with does not have this issue, nor do my 2 seramas, kept separately. She has had this issue for about 2 months now. I put organic apple cider vinegar in their water and give probiotic powder about once a week in their food. Just looking for any ideas. Thanks!

Does she roost?

I have a bird who had a chronically messy butt because she refused to roost. She would just sleep in a nesting box and when she pooped the waste would just sit there and cake up in her feathers. Fortunately, I got a new roo last fall who convinced her to finally roost (after nearly 5 years of owning her), and the problem went away overnight. So happy...

That's sure a thought, as she doesn't roost but sleeps in a dog crate at night with newspaper and pine shavings on the floor of it. (I bring them in the utility room at night since I have so few and worry about predators and weather). It's just that the other silkie does the same thing and doesn't have the messy behind, and this one hasn't always had it either. Still, could be part of the reason for sure. Thanks!
