Silkie with crossed toes

I have a young silkie, about 3 months old. One of her toes is growing across the one next to it and the nail is cutting into her foot. I have cut back the nail so it's not rubbing now, but of course it will grow back. Is there anything I can do to change the growth? I really don't want to cull and not worried about breeding genetics.

Tape it to the toes on the other side and leave taped for several days to weeks, depending on age.
