Hello all.
I have a 3 month old Silkie cockerel with what appears to be a deformity on the bottom of his foot. He's limped on and off since I got him 2 months ago, but I was told he was dropped. After about the first week of having him I noticed his one toe at almost a 90 degree angle. I thought maybe he dislocated/broke his toe so I splinted it. After 2 weeks there was no change so I thought it wasn't fixable. One day he was limping more than normaI so I examined his foot again and that's when I noticed this deformity. His limping and crooked appearance, due to how he holds his leg, is getting worse as he gets bigger. Has anyone seen anything like this? Is there anything I can do to help him? Suggestions greatly appreciated! Thank you!
