Silkie with mystery color.

Agree, Maybe even some Lav in her. She is very pretty. I would keep her and use her in my project pen.

maybe some cuckoo with that barring on her chest? Could be incomplete or diluted barring from being mixed with another color. Maybe one parent was frosted cuckoo and a buff/partridge cross was the other parent?

This would then mean that to get another lavender from her, if she did carry some, I would need to breed her to another lavender or one that matched her Lav+/lav? Right now we only have a the white silkie male, what could come of them? We aren't looking for show quality at all, a few friends love the birds and would like a few of their own, and since we should be getting in some actual SQ silkie hatching eggs (white, black and buff) sometime soon, having these two is more a sort of colorfully fun project to look forward to in spring.

Thanks so far to all the input. Also, I'd love to see pictures of your Calico project birds Sonoran - never heard of that color.
