Anyone have experience with ChipDrop? Just wondering what to expect as we signed up for a load of chips with some logs and stated cannot take "cedar" as this is for the chickens.

We process and sell firewood here so I was also curious about the log drops.

It's pretty random what you get, and whether or not you get anything depends on where you are. I had an order in for two years before I finally gave up.
Well that's not great news but maybe we will get lucky. I had some company cut down trees to free up our solar panels and they dumped a huge load of chips beforehand. I did not have chickens at that time so the pile mostly sat and is now decomposing mostly so I can't really use it with the chickens as it does have some mold in there.

I got a massive drop of mulch and logs from them about a year ago. Must’ve been 25 yards. Mix of oak, elm, hackberry, juniper etc…. Some big logs. Enough mulch to completely cover my front and back yards and then some. Took me a couple days of back breaking work with a pitch fork and wheel barrow to distribute it.
They can take a long time to fill the order. Donating may expedite the process.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the mold and decomposition of the mulch for the chickens…
