Silkie with no crest ? (PIC'S)

Do all silkies have crest,I have a roo and he does not appear to have a crest.
He is 8 months to a year old. It has rained here off & on all day,I will try to get pic's tommorro.

Silkies with tiny or no crests are not that rare. Especially from hatchery stock.
