6 days ago I found my silkie hen lethargic in the coop. Her left eye was swollen with loose mucus and she was mouth breathing. She wasn't raspy and there wasn't any discharge from her nostrils. I brought her in a gave her some Tiagard, Terramycin, and Vetrx. After a few days she seemed better and restless so I let her to outside. Yesterday I noticed her not feeling well again but thought it might be because it was chilly and rainy. So I brought her in, warmed her up, and let her rest. Today she is very bad!! There's no more swelling but now right eye is shut with a little crust. Still no nasal discharge or rasping but she is mouth breathing heavy and fast. She had alot of loose white poop and she barely responds to me touching her. Isn't eating or drinking today and doesn't even try to swallow when I drip a little water in her beak.
Is there's anything I can do to save her?
I have a tube feeding kit on the way but it's not coming till Wednesday. None of my other silkies are showing any signs of sickness. No new birds have been added and no one lives around me. All my silkies are over a year old and have been mostly hatched by me, eggs from very reputable breeders. I do live on sandy land that is very dusty.

Do you have photos of her?

How many days of Tiamulin did you give?

Sounds like the eye has pus in it and it needs to be pressed out. Clean/flush the eye with saline, push out the pus. Put the Terramycin in the eye.

Any signs of mucous, lesions or canker inside the beak? Could be you're dealing with something else besides MG.

Thank you for replying. I did 3 days of Tiagard, flushed her eye and applied Terramycin. Her eyes looked a little better but she is in serious decline and will not take anything else in. She does have mucus in her beak but no sores. I try putting a little drip of water or a bit of egg in her beak and she will not even try to swallow at all.

I'm sorry she's not doing well, her not trying to swallow is concerning.

Do the best you can. If you lose her, you may want to consider having some testing to find out more. You can find your state lab in the link below.
