Silkie wont let me pick her up

I have had people ask me the same question about young silkies. They just are skittish until they mature.

Mine did not let me even catch them until they started laying. The new chicks are the same. I think it is a silkie thing. I have no issues with the adults now. They come running to me. Also, my hen was alive and eating today. I am still working but I may let her out when I get home. Thanks for your suggestions.!❤

Good to know! I want my little fluffy flapper to love me... but she treats me like a monster, but my other breeds are so tame (given same amount of attention). I'll just hope it's a silkie thing and when she's older she WILL let me hold her.

Yes mine is still doing the same thing but she warmed up a little. Now she comes to me when called and jumps around is the cutest. Later I'm hoping to get another one so she isnt lonely
