Silkie x Ameraucanas Crosses 4 & 5 month old NO CLUE what Gender they are!!! Please Help!!!! :)

Okay So these are the offspring of my white silkie roo and my black amerauncana hen..... They are 5 & 4 months old.... AS far as I can tell nobody has started crowing yet .... well except the overachieving 3 month old cochin bantam who tried it out this morning

The combs are black.... the poufs are swept back ... and well they are black..... I really have NO IDEA if they are hens or roos. Can anybody else tell??? Sorry the pixs aren't great but they don't like to stand still!! I can tell them apart in person as 1 is bigger then the other but in the photos they look the same to me

my silkie/d'uccle cockerel's comb was way bigger than that at their age. their combs look just like my pullets did small

Yeah you lucked out there i want a Rhode island red rooster SO BAD but Tampa Florida won't let you keep any only hens

I'm sad about that i had an orloff rooster that did not make ONE crow my parents were gonna Let me keep him but a cat got him my other 2 birds with him were hiding in a trash can and the other in a old mattress on the side of the rode i got rid of both because one was a rooster and crowed a lot and the pullet missed him so i gave her way as well

Hi all I thought I would give everyone an update as it might help people in the future who are trying to sex their chickens! Well you were CORRECT!!!! 2 GIRLS!!!! They both laid their 1st eggs on Labor Day even though one is a month younger then the other...... They are a lovely green color!!!

i just bought a 4 months old of this cross. i THINK its a pullet. i hope so. I will try to get pics of her. Hoping to get coloured eggs
