Silkie x ?

Hey guys, so i got these 2 beautiful silkie x chicks about 6 weeks old. Any ideas on what to look for in regards to sexing them or any guesses? Thanks so much!

The grey one appears to have a bit of a comb already, possible roo? Not sure, apparently Silkies are super hard to sex.

Do you happen to know what other breed that they are mixed with?

They have single comb types which are usually easier to sex. Ordinarily you would be looking for growth and redness in the combs but with silkie crosses the combs are dark coloured so it is less easy to tell. Now your darker chick has a small comb but the lighter one has a larger comb. Based on this I would say that the darker one is definitely a pullet but the lighter one could be a roo. Post an updated comb/wattles pic of the lighter one in two more weeks for more accurate sexing.

Thnk you so much for your replies. They coul be crosed with a range either aracauna, wynadotte or this bantam breed. She was unsure which. i will post updated pics in a few weeks. Thank you!
