Silkie??

:f I am hoping for a silkie. My husband got this out of the "assorted bantams" bin at TSC for me. I actually got six of them since you can't buy any less than that.

This is the only one with black legs, black beak and fuzz around the eyes.

I'm pretty sure that's a silkie, looks just like my silkie chicks!

Now, I have read that it is hard to sex silkies. Any advice on what to look for to determine boy or girl? I will be happy with either one.

Looks like a silkie to meeeeeee with Silkies you are going to have to wait a good while before you can tell boy or girl!

those toes and black skin all say silkie-just doesnt have a vaulted skull but not all do, very cute-I keep looking in their bins to try to find some myself with no luck yet, hopefully I will have a few hatch next week

Makes me want to go to TSC and see what they have now. Last time I looked they only had 4 differend breeds. Maybe i'll check out the other farm store. As if I need anymore silkie chicks.

Yep, I agree with the others. Silkies have 5 toes and dark skin. Looks like a Silkie to me. Since it came from the feed store, and does not look vaulted to me. Probably white.
