I've been told you can buy a fake owl and put it up like on the coop/fence. Apparently it freaks them out and deters them.

Speaking of owls, there's one maybe 10 yards from my coops judging by the sound. I'm glad I didn't leave the meaties and silkies out.

I'm so sorry! That must of been awful for you!

I saw the cats take the chick I had named chex under the house and I crawled in after but then the cat ran out and went under the shed. That whole time I was hysterically crying. Before he died he looked up at me and the look in his eyes broke my heart even more.
