Hi everyone!! Sorry I've been so absent from this thread lately! I've been super busy with school and stuff, and the wifi has been in and out, so I haven't had much time to reply here.

Summer and Peepers, I'm loving all the chook butt pics!!

Dan, I hope all goes well for the hatch! The weeks since setting sure have flown by, at least for me Are all the eggs still in the bator?

No, I had 11 clears and 3 quitters leaving me 20 outta 34 BUT if I can get the 20 left to hatch I'll have had almost 100% hatch rate

I had poor fertility but it seems to be getting better as I put 9 more in a week later (different bator) and only had two clears in that group. But that's not as good as my guinea eggs, set 18 and have 12 good ones.

The

Silkiecuddles brought the first 3 chicks out for some food and drink. I've had 3 other hens move into the nest box with 1.5 chicks and I think it's 5 more eggs.

AWESOME!!! I hope we can hatch our own again this year - maybe get a few swedish black hen eggs so my Spyke and Broody Parakeet can have another go at motherhood.
