I am new to this, I have 3 red hens, one meat bird and two white silkies. All but 2 of the red hens are 20 weeks..( I think they are about 15 weeks). One day I got 3 eggs, but on average I am getting one a day. I have heard that silkies lay only 2-3 a week is this true? Actually I am not even sure my silkies are pullets, although neither one has crowed or shown signs of rooster behavior. I can't tell who is laying although I suspect the older red, but 15 weeks is too young to lay for the other two reds. All eggs have been light and dark brown. Mostly in the egg box but a few have just been in some straw in the pen. Thanks!
