Hello I am the owner of 3 leghorns, 2 Rhode Island reds, 10 adult silkies and about 40 chicks. I had upwards of 22 adults but I am a sucker for people that had their flock attacked or whatever happens that then they end up with just one chicken so I rehomed quite a few adults this year. so the chicks are not all from the same 10 adults (just to clarify). I just recently started breeding my silkies this past year and it has been soo much fun and such an awesome experience for me and my kids. I have been an around chickens my whole life but silkies are a newer breed for me. My oldest is around three and the youngest is about 4 days, with 22 in the incubator. I really try to only produce as nice of chicks as I possible can and never do I rehome any birds to anyone with ill intensions. I love my chickens and I don't know what I did or would do without them, as far as entertainment and extra time. I highly suggest chickens for just about anyone.
