I have four silkies, one with his toes curled in. Well, we think he's a male. Anyways, I always hear about silkies being friendly and kind and two of the silkies are very mean. They try to scratch, they bite and they'll even tug on your skin! It's horrible! So, I was wondering if there was any way to fix their behavior? Also, the chicken with the curled-in toes we call "Curly-Toes" is it a genetic problem? Or is that common in silkies? He also has no feathers on his legs but he's very sweet.

its not a genetic problem, its either an incubator fault ( it happens all the time) or a lack of certain nutriants in the fist few days. it shouldn't be a problem as he/ she grows up. They usually are but it can be a genetic thing for fear, a flighty mum can have a flighty child, however if you keep trying to make them friendly then you shouldn't have to much of a problem, however sometimes they will never be friendly and will always be spooky no matter how much time you spend with them. but at this age they should get friendly soon ish. he/ she is a bit young to sex as Silkies are very hard to sex until they are much older.
