I have 4 Production Red pullets and 6 silkies. The Production Reds are 5 weeks older than the Silkies. The Production Reds seem to be picking on the Silkies, they chase them and peck at them all the time. Im just worried that the Silkies are going to get hurt. At night they have their own coop that i put a smaller door on so the hens cannot get in. Do you think they will eventually get along? or is there something i can do to help them get along better?

They are housed separately, its just that the other hens chase them around the yard. In 2 weeks i am getting 6 more pullets, some Americanas and some Rhode Island Reds. I was thinking since they were smaller that after the 2 week quarantine i would have them in with the silkies and see if that would help them get along better. Thinking that having a larger bird get along with them would help with the Production Reds picking on them.
