I hatched some sexlinks and silkies out at the same time. Well because of the neighbors cats Ive had to keep my silkies locked up cause they could slip between the gate. Well Ive put them out now that they have grown and noticed that one silkie (bigger than the others) was pickin a fight with one of my sex linked roos. It backed down after about 2 rounds.
Does this mean a roo or an overly dominate hen?

Can you even sex them at this age?
This one and another Ive noticed have already gotten the blue ears.

My usually gentle Silkie roo will fight any other rooster that he sees. Otherwise he is the most gentle rooster I've ever seen. My female Silkies are very docile and never cause any trouble (except for one mean red one). I would think one that was picking fights would be a rooster, but you never can tell. You may just have a mean hen like my red one.

I have 2 that are doulbe the size of my others the same age and one so small its the size of my 4 - 5 week old SLW
