Hi all,

Here are some 2 day old Silkie pics for you guys who love Silkies and hopefully, you can get your chick fix here. The Ideal chicks are just a wee bit smaller than the MPC ones, and it is because the MPC ones are a day older. Not sure if a day could mean much difference, but I could certainly tell in the first 2 days. Now it is day 3, and they are growing almost at the same pace. They are doing extremely well.

The partridge chick has a black coloring on its head, like a halo. Such a pretty distinct coloring.

All the chicks in their brooder. There are 4 rhode island reds in the pic. Today they went home with a nice lady to her farm.

Dazzling black silkie. Hubby likes the black ones most of all. They really do look stunning.

Rummy the Airedale (1yo) has lots more chicks to look after now. He simply adores his chicks.

Love your silky babies, my favorites are the red one and the blue. And of course thanks for including my favorite Airedale Rummie. I didn't know Rummie was just a kid - 1 yr. isn't much for an airedale, they are generally a love lived breed. It's just that Rummie is just a well behaved youngster. Hi to Kimmie

PS my son lives in Washington and loves the weather - he's in Redmond. I goofed up one line in my previous reply. It should have read "long lived" not love lived. Time for bed the batteries are running down in my brain.
