Silkies are hard for a lot of people to determine. I could only guess and my guess will probably be like your guess-----About 50% right one way or the other. The top pic makes me lean towards a cockerel and bottom a pullet---if that's Not right then its the other.

Much too young - but, the combs look very big on both chicks, my wild guess is both cockerels.
