Found that a few years ago when I had older model of puters and always seemed to get the dreaded "red X" instead of showing the pic... Gotta love a lil kitten taking away the "X" for ya! LOL
Here's some more pics:
FTR, I ran out of shavings to line her nest, so she got an old stripped knit shirt for extra comfort while sitting on the eggs...hehe These hens are new at the mother 'thing' so wasn't sure if they'd actually produce. At one time, I got up one morning to check on the girls and one of the eggs was cool to the touch and outside of her nest. Crossed my fingers and stuck it back under and voile'!
As soon as she takes them out for a walk, I'll remove the old shirt and hopefully the chicks won't be eating too much of the shavings...
The 1st 2 to hatch are much darker gray than the last who seem to have silvery gray fur. Perhaps that will all change as they mature.
