Noooooo, Fred! Don't look into their eyes!!!! Run away! Run away!!!

Oh, no! It's too late! Fred has been sucked into the cuteness and is a slave to their every whim!

Okay, now this is just embarrassing, Fred. Man up, my boy. You can resist!!

That's right. Look askance. You are a pitifully weak kitty.

Fred, Fred, Fred. Sigh.

Haha....Fred reminds me of Ambrose. I was out there watching the teenagers and he comes and sits on my lap....Of course, he's a bit afraid of these big scary chickens. But he sure loves it when I put fresh straw in the coop! Always comes right in and makes himself commfy.

As cats go, Fred is mostly useless. He ignores the mice as they run about the coops. He finds the bunnies mildly amusing as they munch their way through the veggies and flowers. He has peace treaties signed with all the local rodent populations. He prefers to follow me around the coops as I do chicken chores, watching and pondering the mysteries of the universe. His only big flaw is that he cannot resist "chicken bowling" when the big chickens are out ranging. He does have the grace to look shamed after he runs through the flock, but he just cannot resist temptation. The silkies find him to be fascinating. I'm sure it is because they lived in the house for so long with the house cats sleeping on top of the brooder pen. Fred and silkies often ponder each other through the fence. I often wonder what is going through their little heads.
