Ok. Silkies seriously confuse me. Help!!

So NONE of my 4 silkies are laying or crowing yet. But in the first photo.. I was told the white splash is a rooster (bright red comb) and the black one is a hen. When I bought them.

The second photo is of mine that I raised from hatch. Based on their combs I have one of each?

I'm totally confused because I've read if they have a large black walnut comb, they're males. And the size of their poofs (hats, ect).. But according to the first picture that's incorrect?! I'm 99% sure the white splash is a roo based on how large and tall he is, comb size, how he is around ladies, and just my gut feeling. The other 3 I have no idea. I have some inclinations.. help?!

I could be wrong but I think I see two roosters in the bunch. The white one in the first picture and white one in second picture. Have only had the white silkies in the past so not sure on the black ones. Good luck. How old are they mine didn't start tring to crow till they turned almost 5 mo old....not sure why.

Silkies take a lot longer to mature! Mine are 5 months and no crowing. And the white rooster is older and he doesnt crow either haha

How long have they had the large combs? If they just developed them in the last month or so then pullets. Because they dont have any male feathering. And they are old enough to lay.

You're talking about the white and partridge chickens, correct? I'd say its started happening in the last month or so.. the first pic was 8 weeks ago. They will be 20 weeks on Wed. They arent laying or crowing.
