Hi everyone,
I'm new to chickens so pretty green on where to find certain breeds. I am trying to find where I can buy a couple of Silkies, primarily as pets for kids, from somewhere in Canada (I'm in BC)?
It seems the only large selection hatcheries are in the US (driving to border is not option for me). http://www.rochesterhatchery.com, the only one I can find that advertises Silkies, has minimum 25 birds. http://www.littleredhenhatchery.com I think might but they appear to be shut down or something (can't contact them). I've tried searching this site but get information overload, with nothing seemingly quite relevant.
If anyone is able to point me in right direction I'd really appreciate it. Just want a couple of silkies (preferably day olds) ... didn't think it'd be so hard to source them!!
