Silkies - nesting boxes vs sleeping spaces

I have a couple of silkies in with my banties and they have started to lay. We have 3 nest boxes for 4 hens however the silkies like to sleep in the boxes at night and make a mess of them. The banties use the nesting boxes but not after the silkies have shoved all of the shavings out and pooped in them.

Should Silkies have seperate sleeping quarters ? I know that they don't roost like my banties but where can I encourage them to sleep and not in the nesting boxes?

Ii would recommend more nesting boxes if you can. Mabe just some plastic totes on the ground with holes in them.
