Silkies Of A Different Color

Pics
I have an F1 Blue cream hen, as well as a beautiful powder blue pullet

within the next year or two I also plan on starting a new color project. reverse paint is the only name I have come up with so far. Silver lacing on a silkie which would make a black silkie with white spots!

They're both beautiful. Do you show? If so, are those the colors you show them under - powder blue & blue cream? I have a couple that are similar to your powder blue & I just show them as blues. I also have some colored similar to your blue cream & I've been wondering about what to call them. Are these similar?

Well darn! I guess they aren't the same colors at all. Color wise, mine are buff/gold & lav/blue, same as yours but the shade are completely different. Your girl is more yellow gold - gorgeous color & gorgeous bird.

Good luck with your color project.

But yeah I only show the blue as blue, people just call her powder blue because she is so light compared to some of the darker ones. It's the same thing just prettier name haha. Nori I am never sure what to call her but this show coming up I put her down as porcelain so we will see. Her plumage actually is looking similar to your birds, but she has a bit more self blue on her head.

Sonoran, I have a buff that looks very similar to this one, very light in color. What should should/could she be paired with to get what colors like darker buff, Porcelain?
Do you know her parentage? Or background? Buff is a rather complicated variety, and that could make a difference
I can find out from the breeder(M Best). But looking without the red heatlamp, I am thinking she is a Porcelain. She is just too light to be Buff. I will try and get a pic of her with good lighting later today.

Here is a pic of her, the one on the left. The right is supposed to be a light partridge, but have been told porcelain and buff too.

She has buffs and partridge and a few porcelain(more buff than white) in the same pen.

This is the Red Pyle (I Think) that I was referring to from my previous post. He is adorable, he actually belongs to my son, his name is Freedom :) I would love to have someone who breeds Red Pyle Sikies confirm or refute my suspicions, It will help me with whether I should breed him, and who to as well.
Beautiful boy & a great name! I keep hoping to get a nice red pyle but everything so far has a lot of black smut or else they have a lot of lavender undercoat. They're pretty but not as nice as Freedom. Thank You Country :) I am getting a hen from the friend who gave us Freedom, so I will be breeding them. She bought them from some kids at a show here in Maine, thats all I know! I am trying to find info on this color so I can do it right. If anyone has any, or can point me someplace I would be thrilled :) Country

There are some amazing birds on here!

I am still reading the thread to get through it all, but.... I am looking for RED silkies. I have asked in several threads and even started to try my own to find any breeders of good quality birds and so far, have hit a wall. I am not looking to interfere with the Pink Project, I just would like to have some reds to work with. Anyone out there with some great birds that sells eggs? Thanks for reading.

And again, awesome birds.
