I wish we were closer! Marble is a pretty girl. I will be interested to see what they produce together.

I have Cocoa with my Tortoiseshell / Calico boy right now. I'm looking for a nice black right now to pair her with.

Miss Diva doesn't mind at the moment.

Your calico boy is a beauty! I'll bet the chicks will be gorgeous too. I hope you'll post some pictures when you get babies.

Is there such a thing as a reverse paint silkie (black with white spots)? I saw one reference to them but I can't confirm if anyone really has breed them?

Has anyone mixed blue cream (porcelain) and blue? I have some eggs in my bator from my blue roo and blue cream hen and I'm wondering what they'll look like :)

Update on Swiffer - the Sizzle of unknown color. I entered him at Hollister last week as a lemon-blue & he took 1st & BV. But best of all, the judge wrote "+ type" on the card. I didn't know what that meant but talked to judge after & she was very complimentary. Said Swiffer was excellent type & body shape, which is not often seen on Silkie or Sizzle cockerels. Wow. That meant much more than the ribbon. Guess I'm doing something right. Yea Swiffer! On the minus side, judge didn't know his color either - said she thought he was more a silver-blue. He's entered in the Western Nationals next week as a salmon so still not sure if I should change the color on the card to silver-blue or leave as a salmon. Here's my boy & a couple of Sizzle pullets that I took also. Sorry. I know this is a Silkie thread but since these guys are a Silkie variety I hope you'll forgive me for jumping in. I'm just very proud of how well they are doing.

Congratulations on the wins and the recognition of their excellent type!

I have an F1 Blue cream hen, as well as a beautiful powder blue pullet :D within the next year or two I also plan on starting a new color project. reverse paint is the only name I have come up with so far. Silver lacing on a silkie which would make a black silkie with white spots!
Black with white spots is called Mottled
