Silkies Of A Different Color

I often have trouble determining color at such a young age, and it makes it especially difficult b/c the computer doesn't always show the color well. It does seem to have an interesting combination of colors though. How old is it now? Do you have more pictures?

Based on the parents and what we can see of the colors, I'd have to guess splash, but I'm far from expert. She sure is pretty though! I had a batch of chicks hatch yesterday and this morning from what I think is a gray or splash roo with red leakage and a blue hen - two of them look silver and one looks mostly white. I'll take some pictures once they all dry out. Chick colors baffle me.

I'm still having trouble telling which chicks are splash, but it's my understanding some splash start out with somewhat of a gold-blue tint. Look at this picture: https://www.backyardchickens.com/g/...lkie-baby-look-like-can-you-see-the-splashes/. I posted on the blue/splash thread asking if any of my current babies are splash or if they are just going to be a lighter blue. Two of them looked very silver when they first hatched, but when they dried and fluffed out they are light gray with some white. Does that sound like splash?

There is a lot of gray show on this babies head and he is getting dark feathers on his wings already.

Your baby has a nice head. To bad his feet are sparsely feathered. Mine have great feat and bad heads. But I will find a roo with good everything some day! My guess on color is light blue.
