I have a showgirl hen who is not only so ugly she is a double frizzle when I bought her they told me she was a oop's she is so ugly but I love her! She does not lay she laid 2 eggs last year she never was with a roo so we threw them in the compost pile but I wouldn't get rid of her for anything I love her ugly and all...LOL

My Showgirls are 10th and 11th generation.

I'm told it takes 10 generations to get the fluffy butts, five toes, black skin, ect....

This white SG roo is in with two lovely pullets that I recieved from SonRise Silkies...

This blue SG roo I have in with splash pullets. I got him from SonRise Silkies too...

These two white SG hens I got from a breeder in TX. I have them in with a Lavender Roo and a Lavender pullet... These SG's are my project.

All different colors... Pretty Wild. I can't hardly wait for them to get grown and cross them with a Lavender to see what color chicks I get..

lol yes, i think there are certain people like us who just have a soft spot for the not-so-good-looking-drop-dead-ugly! lol (oh gosh, now please dont tell my boyfriend that!)

I decided to simply go "yard candy" with my silkies rather than concern about pure colors. Just too much difficulty running 2 different breeds, all the pens, age groups per pen, excess males---EEEEK!
