silkies Please help

I'm new and I did not know were to post this you see im thinking about finally getting me a new chicken I am thinking about a silkies we are building a new shelter for it I used to have a phoenix chicken one of the best chickens we ever had he was a rooster his name was phoenix he would wait for his one hen to get done laying her egg and then they would walk off together we had other hens and roosters ... well im wondering what I should be worried about with silkies and maybe what other breed I should have consider we have raised baby chicks before and we've a lot more chickens other then he phoenix 's .



so please help me pick my right chicken :}
