Silkies without poofy head

My Silkie hatched chicks this week and they have all the Poof like a Silkie is supposed to but their heads are not poofy. The Roo and hen are poofy. Is this normal? The hen was only with a Silkie Roo. When this hen and roo were born they had poofy heads! Any explanation???

It's okay...they will get the, "poof" in time!

When they hatch, sometimes they'll have a vaulted skull that will make them appear like they have a little poofy knob on top, other times they won't, but you can still see they have a bit of a poof. They won't actually get big and poofy until they start growing their feathers, but even then you probably won't see a final "puff" until they get their secondary feathers.
