Silkies

If a silkie has a fairly prominent breast bone, if she/he is "thicker" if you will... is this a good indication of her really being a he? I have a black silkie that I am 99% sure is female, but my white/gray/partridge/whatever silke is quite a bit larger than she is and we cannot get our hand around her/his body any longer.... we have to use two hands now to lift him/her!!!!

No, those things are not good indicators of sex. Comb and streamers in the crest are good indicators, but the streamers don't come until later.

I agree not good indicators of gender. Post photos if you like and we can try to help you determine. Can be difficult though to tell until they’re close to four months of age if not older.

Also.... He/She is about 18/19 weeks old.... no crowing or anything yet.... two silkies we got at the same time as her started crowing at 14-15 weeks....

The grey one looks like a cockerel. Could be not crowing, if the others are more dominant. This one has clear streamers and comb is big and coloring in.
Black one looks like a pullet, but I would like to see close up of comb.

Her comb is flat ..... Ill see if i can get a close up, but Im very confident she is female!! AT LEAST I HOPE!!!!! LOL
