Silkies

K i just started breeding silkies. I have a group of hens and roosters that have regular walnut comb. But my older rooster seems to have a single comb. If the older rooster breed with the other hens would the chicks have single combs or not ????

It's likely the roo will pass the straight comb onto it's offspring. If you're breeding to show then you'll want to find a new roo because a straight comb is a DQ. Otherwise you'll be producing pet quality silkies.
